In the month of Haziran there was an earthquake. A great part of Palestine and many other places were ruined [1] (Jesudenah, city of Basra).

A.H. 39 runs from 25 May 659 to 16 May 660 CE Elias specified that A.H. 39 started on Wednesday 29 Iyar of the year 970 of the Greeks which equates to 29 May 659 CE and is correct; including the day of the week. The editor Delaporte supplied an incorrect year in brackets [29 May 658 AD] which was removed by me in order to avoid confusion.
