Bektaş et al. (2024) identified and interpreted a seismo-turbidite designated Unit L in R/V Thuwal Core 11, which was recovered near the southern terminus of the Aragonese Fault. They assigned an age of ca. 1350 BCE to this turbidite. Based on the Probability Density Functions (PDFs) presented in Fig. 8 of their paper, the deposit was most likely emplaced between ~1450 and ~1250 BCE at the 1σ confidence level.
