Ash-Mor et al. (2017) described Event E in R/V Mediterranean Explorer Canyon Core P22 as a 10 cm thick Mass Transport Deposit. They provided an unmodeled 14C age of 7416 ± 42 cal years BP, which is slightly younger than the event and corresponds to approximately 5466 BCE.
