Sbeinati et al. (2010) report that Event W was expressed as a fault branch (I) of a negative flower structure inside trench C at the al-Harif displaced aqueduct site. Dating is based on 14C analysis. Faulting occurred between units f and g, making it younger than g (3400–300 BCE) and older than f (800–510 BCE), thus constraining Event W to 3400–510 BCE. Bayesian modeling of radicarbon evidence further constrains the timing to 2300-500 BCE. Sbeinati et al. (2010) also proposed that an estimate of the sedimentation rate in unit f suggests that the event occurred before 926 BCE leading to a window from 2300 to 926 BCE.
