Kondo and Ozalp (2025) report that
the date of the penultimate event [Event 1]
in a paleoseismic trench excavated on the Tetirlik segment
occurred between 372-196 BC and 206-92 BC according to radiocarbon dating results.
They
suggested that Event 1 can be correlated with the 131 BC Islahiye earthquake in historical catalogs
.
