Event Y
Nemer and Meghraoui (2006) report that
Event Y in the Jarmaq trench, which intersects the
Roum fault, cuts unit c and
occurred before the deposition of unit b.
Event X is constrained using the nearest dated layers
above (unit b) and below (unit c), indicating
that it occurred between 2920–2879 BCE and
84–239 CE.
Unit c was
radiocarbon dated by one
bulk soil sample (JAR-2-B).
Unit b was also radiocarbon dated by one bulk soil sample (JAR-1-B).
The Jarmaq trench as a whole indicates combined
left-lateral strike-slip and
normal motion.
