Cytryn-Silverman (2015:208) suggests that the covered hall of the Umayyad mosque at Tiberias was refurbished after the 749 CE Sabbatical Year Earthquakes. A row of columns was introduced along the middle of the aisles to strengthen the roof, apparently to compensate for structural damage caused by the earthquake.
