Ellenblum et al. (2015) estimate that ~1.5 m of fault slip accumulated at the site between its abandonment, probably in the mid–1st century BCE, and the construction of a Crusader period fortress at the end of the 12th century CE. Because the site remained abandoned and no new constructions were identified during this time, it is not possible to subdivide the ~1.5 m of displacement into distinct earthquake events.
