Kafafi (2009:592–593) reports that excavations uncovered heavily burned mudbrick structures in the southern part of the tell. The area was interpreted as a zone for metalworking and storage, located adjacent to what was identified as a pillared house from the same occupational phase. Based on architectural style, the pillared house was dated to approximately 1250–1150 BCE, corresponding to the latest phase of the Late Bronze III period.![]()
