Sinibaldi (2018:75) reported that Mosque 2, also known as the Western Mosque, was "probably destroyed by an earthquake." Sinibaldi (2023:360) further noted that radiocarbon analysis of archaeobotanical materials recovered from the "surfaces of use" of Mosques 1 and 2 produced preliminary results dating the samples from both structures to between the 11th and 13th centuries CE.
