Sibt ibn al-Jawzi (ca. 1185 - 1256 CE) was the grandson of
Ibn al-Jawzi and was raised by
Ibn al-Jawzi in
Baghdad (
Keany, 2013:83).
Sibt in Arabic means grandson through one of the grandfather's daughters. After his grandfather's death,
Sibt ibn al-Jawzi moved to Damascus where he was a Preacher as well as a Historian
(
Keany, 2013:83).
