• Ambraseys et al (1994:30) states that Al-Fariqi, p. 161, puts the earthquake in 439/1047, at the time of Alp Arslan's victories in E. Anatolia, i.e. probably intending 460/1068 (see below). Ambraseys (2009:267) lists this as a separate catalog entry
