Zingboym (2011b) argued that "the settlements in the Nahal Duga basin were destroyed by an earthquake that struck in 363 CE and were never rebuilt". Because the settlement at Khirbat Ta'ena ceased to exist after the 4th century CE, Zingboym (2011b) further suggested that, "in all likelihood", Khirbat Ta'ena was also destroyed by one of the 363 CE Cyril Quakes.
