In the Aragonese version, Zonaras appears to have described one of the Sabbatical Year Earthquakes, stating that on the 23rd of September, there was a powerful earthquake where many homes and churches were destroyed. He followed this statement with a description of building damage in Anatolia, suggesting that he either amalgamated multiple earthquake accounts or was referring to an earthquake in Anatolia rather than to one of the Sabbatical Year Earthquakes.
