Johannes Malalas, citing Domininos,
recorded that Antioch was struck by an earthquake, but his
account includes three inconsistent chronological markers
that point to three possible dates ā 148 BCE, 130 BCE, and an
undetermined year.
Downey (1938: 109ā110) suggests that
Malalas may have conflated as many as three separate
earthquakes occurring in 148 BCE, 130 BCE, and sometime
in the 1st century BCE.
