Jerome wrote that the walls of Areoplis fell during one of the 363 CE Cyril earthquakes which he conflates with the tsunamis that followed the 365 CE Crete earthquake and may reflect an oral tradtion from Areopolis that there was a seice in the Dead Sea after one of the 363 CE Cyril earthquakes.
