Grosdidier de Matons (1981)
suggests may refer both to the
551 CE Beirut Quake
and the earthquake that struck Constantinople in 554 CE.
Gatier (1983)
, however, interpreted the passage as referring instead to the
Fire in the Sky Quake
that struck Akko (Ptolemais) in 502 CE.
