Georgius Monachus (George the Monk) also known as Georgius Hamartolos (George the Sinner) combines multiple earthquakes
into a single account, describing both an earthquake and a
tsunami, along with damage to ships and shaking felt in
Arabia, Palestine, Mesopotamia, and Antioch. Seismic damage
reported in Constantinople, however, refers to a separate
earthquake that occurred in 554 CE.
