1. Augusta was called Paphus in the year j5 a. C. n. (Dio, LIV, 23).
2. The editors think that the first year to which Tiberius granted the right of
asylum to the temple of Venus Paphia (Tac., Ann., III, 62) was counted
was not from the time Tiberius obtained the empire, but from the time he
granted that right to the Cypriot legates (22 p. C. n.). The matter seems uncertain.
