In a passage virtually identical to, and apparently copied from, Annales de Terre Sainte, the Chronique de Terre Sainte records that in 1202 CE, an earthquake devastated Acre, Sur (Tyre), Gibelet, Archis, part of Tripoli, and many Christian and Saracen towns.
