Estoire de Jerusalem et d’Antioche is a chronicle that appears to have relied heavily on Fulcher of Chartres. In the *Estoire*, it is recorded that we were visited by an earthquake on the day of the Feast of Saint Lawrence in 1114, dating the event to 10 August 1114 CE. The text goes on to state that all the towns and settlements along the coast collapsed, thereby killing the inhabitants and that the towns of Marash and Trihalet collapsed in ruins. Various scholars have proposed that “Trialeth” may refer to Balis on the Euphrates or Tell Khalid (Trialeth). Guidoboni and Comastri (2005) suggest that the *Estoire*’s description of the destruction of coastal towns, Marash, and Trihalet actually refers to the earthquake of 13 November 1114 CE, arguing that the author conflated the 10 August and 13 November events. However, the spatial distribution of IDPs indicates that it is more likely the *Estoire* conflated the 10 August and 29 November earthquakes.
